《スライディング・ライト・シティ》
都市空間の余白を埋めるかのように書かれたグラフィティーや、ビルのガラス面が複雑に反射し合うことで風景が幾重にも重なるような都市の景観から想起したインスタレーション作品です。
渋谷の路上で撮影した映像や、スケートボードのセクションのような曲面を持つ金属製の立体などの”都市のエレメント”が重なり合い、複雑に反射し合う都市空間の経験を表現しています。
斜めに配置されたモニターの映像が背景の金属面に映り込み、さらに会場の光や鑑賞者の影が映り込んで、作品同士や会場の空間が反射し合います。
この作品は、渋谷の景観を再構築し、路上に残されたグラフィティやスケートボードの痕跡を発見するときのように、鑑賞者に新しい都市の風景を提示します。

《Sliding Light City》
This installation work is inspired by urban landscapes, such as graffiti that seems to fill the margins of urban spaces, and the layering of landscapes caused by the intricate reflections of glass surfaces on buildings.
The experience of urban space, where “urban elements” such as videos shot on the streets of Shibuya and metal sculptures with curved surfaces like skateboard sections overlap and reflect each other in complex ways.
Images from monitors placed at an angle are reflected on the metal surface in the background, and the light of the venue and the shadows of the viewers are reflected on the metal surface in the background.
The work reconstructs the landscape of Shibuya, presenting the viewer with a new urban landscape, much like discovering the traces of graffiti and skateboards left on the streets.
